Text Box:     At the beginning of every new year, we hear more and more about the benefits of exercise to overall health.  However, it can be difficult for those dealing with recovery from surgery or chronic illnesses to take advantage of the opportunities offered by mainstream fitness centers. 
    Here’s an option we can all consider—the Lebed Method.  Originally developed for breast cancer survivors, the Lebed Method has been found to be therapeutic for surgery recovery, and for maintaining an exercise routine while managing chronic illness.
    The Lebed Method is offered locally by certified instructor Talia Moser, at the Center of Integrative Medicine on Grove Avenue in Richmond.  This gentle approach to fitness focuses on healing, and provides many benefits:

Text Box: Since its inception in 1993, the NABTC has organized events in honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month, and worked to establish a strong policy voice on behalf of adults and children with brain tumors.  The NABTC is comprised of non-profit brain tumor advocacy Text Box: groups from the US and Canada, and provides information and guidance for those wishing to promote awareness and changes in policy affecting brain tumor survivors.
